THE KINGDOM OF GOD

"When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and other, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto them, Blessed art thou Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hat not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock (the fact that I am Jesus Christ) I will build my church (the New Testament Church), and the gates of hell (the power of Satan) shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." Matthew 16:13-19

In being a New Testament Christian, the Kingdom of God dwells (rules) in us so that we can overcome the forces of evil. Therefore, we should be a citizen of the Kingdom of God so that we can overcome the powers of Satan because he can overcome us unless we are in the Kingdom of God.

Learn the following truth because your life is priceless.

THE EXISTENCE OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD

I. The Kingdom of God is in existence because we can become a citizen of it by being born again in a Spiritual way. "There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time unto his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water (be immersed in water) and of the Spirit (the teachings of the Holy Spirit), he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again." John 3:1-7

II. The Kingdom of God is in being because it is a gift from God. "Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." Luke 12:31-32

III. The Kingdom of God is in existence because it can be sought. "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things (that we need) shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33

IV. The Kingdom of God is in being because it dwells (rules) within us. "The kingdom of God cometh not with observation. Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you" (dwelling and ruling in you). Luke 17:20-21

THE NATURE OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD

I. The Kingdom of God is Spiritual. "Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews? Jesus answered him, Sayest thou these thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me? Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hat thou done? Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world (not earthly, but Spiritual): if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence". John 18:36

II. The Kingdom of God is Eternal. "Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make you calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom or our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ." 1 Peter 1:10-11

III. The Kingdom of God is Glorious. "That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you into his kingdom and glory." 1 Thessalonians 2:12

IV. The Kingdom of God is Powerful. "For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power." 1 Corinthians 4:20

THE BLESSINGS OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD

I. The Kingdom of God cannot be overthrown by Satan. "Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved (overthrown by Satan), let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptable with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire." Hebrews 12:28-29

II. The Kingdom of God brings Spiritual light from God. "Giving thanks unto the Father, who hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son; In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins." Colossians 1:12-14

III. The Kingdom of God gives us true happiness in this life. "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit." Romans 14:17

THE DESTINATION OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD

I. The destination of the Kingdom will be in heaven because we are heirs of the Kingdom of God. "Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath no God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? James 2:5

II. The destination of the Kingdom will be in heaven because the Kingdom will be presented unto God in heaven. "Then cometh the end (the end of this world), when he (Christ) shall have delivered up the kingdom (the Church) to God, even the Father; when He (Christ) shall have put down all rule and all authority and power (of Satan). For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed shall be death. For he (God) hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith, all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God (the Spiritual Nature of God) may be all (to each Person who has been redeemed) and in all" (of each Person that has been redeemed). 1 Corinthians 15:24-28

There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body." 1 Corinthians 15:44 "Who (our Lord) shall change our vile body (our fleshly body), that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body (His Spiritual Body), according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself." Philippians 3:21 "And as we have borne the image of the earthy (the earthy man who possesses a physical body, and an Eternal Soul and Spirit), we shall also bear the image of the heavenly" (the Spiritual Person who has a Spiritual Body, and an Eternal Soul and Spirit). 1 Corinthians 15:49 This means that we will be a Spiritual Person who possesses a Spiritual Body, and an Eternal Soul and Spirit in our Heavenly Home because these are the Spiritual Characteristics of a Spiritual Person.

Revelation 3:21 "And to him will I give power over the nations. And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father." Revelation 3:5 "For there shall in no wise enter into it (the Heavenly City) any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life." E. We in being a New Testament Christian will become equal with those three Divine Persons who equally are called the Lord God and Christ the Lord in being our Creator and our Redeemer because we are heirs of God and joint-heirs (equal heirs) with Christ in matters of our own creation and redemption of life. "The Spirit (the Holy Spirit) Himself beareth witness with our spirit (our character: our personality), that we are the children of God (by creation and by regeneration): And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs (equal heirs) with Christ." Romans 8:16-17 This means that in our Heavenly Home all Divine Persons will be equal in power, rule and authority.

Amen." 1 Timothy 6:15-16 "To them (the Christians) who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life." Romans 2:7 This means that we will be a deathless Person in our Heavenly Home because a Heavenly Person can not die in a physical or in a Spiritual Way.
